Compressed air examples
Compressed air is very expensive energy source. In fact, it can be about twenty times more expensive than electricity. Enough reason then to use it economically. Practice shows, however, that some 30% of generated compressed air is still lost due to leakage, incompe-tent use and overdue maintenance. Our products enable you to chart these losses easily.

Compressor performance check

In this example, the VPFlowScope is used to check the output flow of a compressor in a situation where the compressor cannot be taken offline. The probe is inserted after the drier and the measurement results are compared to the compressor specifications.

Machine consumption monitoring

Continuous monitoring of compressed air consumption contributes to energy awareness and cost savings.

Leakage management

Continous compressed air flow monitoring is key to a proper leakage management program. For example, the average consumption during weekends can be compared to production hours.

Cost allocation

The VPFlowMate and VPFlowScope can be used to measure the compressed air consumption of various divisions within a factory. Measurement data is used to allocate costs to various cost centers.
