A Step Closer To Sustainability

Dear readers,
You must be wondering why this small plant was sent to you by VPInstruments – as a technology company.
What you see lying/standing in front of you is an air plant. This plant does not need any soil to live, it just needs air (and some water). You will be surprised by the number of things we, both VPInstruments and your factory, have in common with these organisms.
Air is the most important thing for plants, it is their lifeline. Just like this compressed air is a lifeline for production in your factories. These plants grow because of air and so do we! Over the past 20 years, we have grown into a world-leading company in compressed air measuring and monitoring, fueled by air.
Plants are vital for a sustainable future. They reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that is in our atmosphere right now. We are also focused on reducing the emission of carbon dioxide by providing visibility of the airflow in your production/factory. This will help you save energy, and therefore reduce emissions. At VPInstruments we dearly care about the environment and want to build a sustainable future. Just like plants, our products will help you reduce your carbon footprint and reach important climate goals.
Our biggest mission is to save energy, and we would love for you to be a part of that. Let’s take the next step in your journey to sustainability together!
Please do not hesitate to share a photo of your air plant on social media with us. And if you need help or have questions, let us know anytime!
With kind regards,
VPInstruments
Below you can find the instructions on how to take care of your air plant:
How to take care of your air plant

Take care of your Tillandsia:
The plant lives mostly because of the humidity in the air. It is a strong plant that generally needs less care than other plants. The air plant originally grows in areas where the humidity is a bit higher. Therefore the plant requires some extra care to extend their lifetime.
- Spray your plant every now and then with water and/or let it sit in a bath of water to ensure it stays humid. (more info can be found below)
- Your plant will live best in a bright area, but preferably not in direct sunlight.
- The plant is not made for cold weather, try to protect it from temperatures below 0°C.
Immersion method:
To give your air plant the best care, you can immerse it every two weeks/month in water, preferably rainwater. It is important that your air plant dries fully afterward, otherwise it might start rotting.
Step 1: Immerse the air plant in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Wait 30-60 minutes.
Step 3: Gently shake the excess water off your plant. Give your plant the time to fully dry.

Together we save the world!
Don’t forget to send a photo of your plant to us and we will donate 1 Euro on your behalf to “Tree for all” fund.
